Food Delivery and Serving at St. Mary’s
One of the oldest current outreach ministries at Saint John’s is supplying food to the
food shelf at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church in Chester. They are a government
certified agency. The food and personal care items they need include all types of
canned food (vegetables, fruit, soups & stews); boxed or bagged food (pasta, rice &
crackers); personal care items like toilet paper, soap and shampoo, every week.
There’s a collection bin in the church entryway, and during the offertory items are
brought to the altar as our offering to God.
We deliver the food to St. Mary’s on the first and third Thursdays of each month and
spend time helping distribute the food, talking with staff and recipients. Join us at
11:45am in the Saint John’s parking lot .We will be at St. Mary’s from approximately 12
to 2 p.m. depending on need. Please join us, it’s a great way to see this ministry in
