Prayer for the Call of a New Rector
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of the Search Committee and Vestry who shall choose a new Rector for this parish, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (BCP, p. 818 # 13 para)

Search Process Confidentiality
The Discernment and Search Process has now entered the confidential phase. Only the nine members of the Search Committee will know who has applied and who is being interviewed. The congregation will learn who our next Rector is when the Wardens announce the good news.
Our job is to continue to steep the whole process in prayer. It is in God’s good hands.
The Search Committee will keep the parish regularly informed about the status of the search process.
Here Are Our Search Committee Members
I have been a member of St. Johns for over 20 years. I have been a Sunday School teacher for over 10 years and I am a past Vestry member. I have raised three children at St. Johns: Tim, Kelsey and Zach. I’m excited to be a member of the Search Committee and feel I can make a positive contribution.
I have been a member of Saint John’s for the past 6 years. I am now commencing my third year as a Vestry Member. I am quite honored to be chosen as part of the Search Committee as my husband and I consider Saint John’s to be the church that we consider “HOME”.
My name is Jacqui Dunn, my girls and I attend the 9:15 service. I work with the youth group and am part of the WSFGS (when I can). My family and I were looking for “just the right place” to teach our girls about faith and how to serve God. Our first service at St. John’s was a baptism. (As our girls were not yet baptized) I was immediately moved by the love and feeling of community and saw this as a sign that we were meant to be here. A year later our girls, Ella (11) and Tessa (8) were baptized. St. John’s has given us so much, we are excited to give back.
Hello, I’m Emily Hammer. I have been a member of St. Johns for about 10 years. Currently I am a junior Accounting major, preparing to be a senior, at Temple University. When I am at home, I attend the 9:15 service with my mom, dad, and brother. Also, I take part in helping with our Children’s Chapel and any other children’s activities that are occurring at our church. I am excited for the opportunity to be able to help our church community with this Search Committee.
We have been members of St. John’s since 1995. Our two children grew up in the church and now our granddaughter is enjoying her time at St. John’s.
I frequently attend early morning services alone but also attend the 9:15 service as a family. My wife Mary Pat is serving on Vestry now as well as a number of years ago and I support her in these efforts.
We owned an insurance agency for 20 years with 15 employees so I spent time and have experience with search committees and look forward to assisting with this important search.
Ann McGonigal has been a member of St. Johns for the past five years. She and her 2 teenage children attend the 9:15 service. Her children are involved in youth group and Ann is a member of the Women’s Spiritual Fulfilment Group (WSFG). Ann was received by Bishop Gutierrez in the fall of 2019.
I am John Pachkowski and I have been attending St. John’s since 1987. I am currently a member of the Vestry and have been involved in the Search Process chairing the Profile Committee. My hope is to call our next Rector who will continue to guide the St. John’s family on our spiritual journey of being a caring and accepting community.
I have been with St. John’s since 1959. Started Sunday School then joined the Junior Choir. At 17 I joined the Senior Choir and have been a member until the present. In 2017 I began volunteering in the Church Office on Tuesdays or Thursdays to the present.
Hello, I’m Danielle Yoch. I’ve been a member at St. Johns for over 7 years. My family and I attend the 9:15 service. I’m a current Vestry Member and a member of the Women’s Spiritual Fulfillment Group. I’ve also served as a Delegate to the Diocesan Convention. My husband and I have 4 children- James (8), Alexandra (6), Peter (3) and Henry who was born on Leap Day this year! I look forward to serving our wonderful church on the search committee.
